They...Everything you said is right about Villanova. They do have a higher "upside." From the ones you listed, Texas stands out to me the most, but I really do have an issue with Rick Barnes. The guy has had some of the most talented teams of the past 10 years and only 1 Final Four? Kansas State could be interesting if they can get consistent scoring from someone other than Pullen. Anyways, I'm excited for when 'Nova gets blown out in the 1st round and I look stupid (inevitable).Jon Landrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06285647002396519452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-32629807837744775632011-03-16T01:59:00.150-04:002011-03-16T01:59:00.150-04:00Kansas St, Wisconsin, Texas, Washington (if Thomas...Kansas St, Wisconsin, Texas, Washington (if Thomas gets real hot), St. John's (If they use the same refs as against Rutgers), West Virginia, I mean, none of these teams are going to win, but they at least have a shot. Villanova has just fallen apart. They're 4-9 in the past 13 and have lost 5 straight. They are dunzo. I doubt they even beat George Mason.thejoshbakernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-72086547864973522462011-03-14T16:28:24.058-04:002011-03-14T16:28:24.058-04:00Just curious; who would you put in their place?Just curious; who would you put in their place?Jon Landrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06285647002396519452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-64045699049664748052011-03-14T16:19:25.136-04:002011-03-14T16:19:25.136-04:00'Nova was my iffiest sleeper pick. I went with...'Nova was my iffiest sleeper pick. I went with them because they have the highest upside of anybody seeded that low. As bad as they were in the last 6 or 7 games, they had some good wins before that and some really tough losses to UConn and Georgetown. The other factor is the NCAA Tournament is usually officiated a bit tighter than the regular season, especially in the Big East, and that's going to benefit them. But really, they aren't going anywhere...maybe I was just hoping they could topple Ohio State to give Kentucky an easier path!Jon Landrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06285647002396519452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-10560925144870248772011-03-14T16:11:38.577-04:002011-03-14T16:11:38.577-04:00Villanova is bad. That's a bad sleeper pick.
