I understand he's a baller and he's absolutely vital if the Thunder are to have any prayer at getting past Dallas. Maynor is a nice player and the bench + Durant had a great 4th quarter, but I wouldn't bank on them going anywhere with that group. One specific comment theme was, "OKC wouldn't make the playoffs if not for Westbrook creating offense." Don't believe that crap. Durant and the supporting cast would still be a 6 or 7 seed without Westbrook. Make no mistake, Durant is The Man.Jon Landrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06285647002396519452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-89224171897266107902011-05-20T16:26:07.863-04:002011-05-20T16:26:07.863-04:00Not for one second. The message would have been sent and it's worth it to give him a life raft at that point.

Here's the thing; this is the playoffs. This is the Western Conference Finals. Message time is over. If OKC loses last night then the series is practically over. Maynor didn't blow anyone away statistically, but he got the ball to Harden and Durant and that's why OKC won. I know Westbrook is probably a little upset, but you have to do what it takes to win and Maynor was clearly superior to Westbrook last night. I really don't think Westbrook is a bad character guy though, so I think he's going to bounce back. I just hope he gets his head screwed on straight.Jon Landrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06285647002396519452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9311787837526355.post-38107513491155464802011-05-20T16:00:09.081-04:002011-05-20T16:00:09.081-04:00I skimmed the post, so forgive me if u did mention...I skimmed the post, so forgive me if u did mention it. but if u were SBrooks, would you have put Westbrook back into the game at all near the end of the 4th quarter? or would you have kept him out the whole quarter, like he did? just wondering if putting him back in might ease some of the nerves of such a young player. or if sitting him out the whole quarter is the right message to send... not sure my thoughts myself! other than Holy Moly the reserves shocked me with the way they finished the game!!Frankiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10873510976459950075noreply@blogger.com
