  1. You're absolutely right about this 4th and 15 thing. When I first heard it, I thought, games will NEVER be over! And guess what? I'm sure the owners just love that aspect, too. I've already felt like 'comebacks' are getting too easy these days - I think of how epic the 49ers' 24-point comeback against the Giants was in the playoffs a decade ago. It feels like that kind of thing is happening on a weekly basis now.

    Now can you imagine a team that's down 14 with 2 minutes left? No problem!!! Sure, there was always the onside kick, but that was flukey and luck-based. Now, just convert a few key downs, and you can have 2 TDs in 2 minutes, no problem!!! Can you imagine an NFL where a team has 4 consecutive possessions?!? What a joke! Just more area-league-style rules changes from the NFL. Not hard to imagine them going through with this.

  2. If you're going to throw out something as drastic as eliminating kickoffs, at least have some sort of plan in mind. You can't put this out there with some hokey backyard type rule as your only viable alternative.
